Feeling Blue....

Seems that these days I’m just not myself. Not exactly sure if I even know what has caused me this mood. Sure....simple answer is life...but the question is “What IN life?” I know I can’t blame health cause for the most part it’s ok. Then there is wealth...Well there too I can say, for the moment “No way”.

Next there is family....well, who has the perfect one? They always come with their ups and downs….HAHAHA! With the kids all grown, it seems they come with their problems TO YOU. Which again for the most part is great, cause since we all were young once we know what life has in store. If it’s not this...then it’s that. And so it goes...Blah..blah...blah and again and again!

Next you have friends....who too come with their own set of fun. First on the list, is the spouse of course..to be followed by the kids...then next in line is the job...Oh life is ever so fine.

It seems I have the perfect ear....they come from far, they come from near....I say to myself “Oh dear.” I listen. I give my advise...or sometimes I just say nothing at all which can also be wise.

As for me, I seldom share....cause I also know the answer lies deep inside me somewhere. It seems people can’t make you happy, so I’ve been told. So therefore one can say that complaining becomes weary and old.

Running away, won’t solve my “Blues”...
I need to stay in these old shoes...
But I know that some where out yonder...
My life will be a bit more fonder...

I need to find me…..!

I feel that way sometimes, too. A majority of the time I can't put my finger on it, but sometimes I realize I feel tha way when I've lost sight of my goals, both short and long-term.

Sometimes happenings in your life have nothing to do with it. It could even be something as simple as a change in the serotonin levels in your brain. That can jump-start a mood change for [seemingly] no apprent reason. Something as dumb as a change in diet or change in seasons can trigger a drop in you serotonin levels. Just something to think about.

Depression is caused by neurotransmitter malfunction in the brain. It's a treatable disease. In some cases it ends in suicide if left untreated. It always reduces the quality of your life.

Depression is not a disease...it's a disorder and it's not always brought on by abnormal levels of neurotransmitters. It can be brought about by dysfuctional cognitions, typically in combination with constricted thinking patterns.

All the smart sounding college/science aside. I have noticed depression is caused by lots of things. I may not know what, sometimes it can't be explained. I don't get depressed very often, but when I do, it is when I get overwhelmed. OR, when I don't have enough to overwelm me. If everything is perfect for me, it doesn't feel right, and I await the next goal or challenge in life. Am I making any sense? Some people like to know exactly what is happening with chemicles and imbalances etc. Thats why so many doctors seem to have a pill for everything. But nothing REALLY seems to work. So whats the answer? I don't know. Keep being yourself, I'm sure it will pass. Thats all I can say. See you later.
